Summary
The detective stepped off the train and into the set of what an Old-Worlder might've called a 'spaghetti western'. Sandrock. From the crumbling, sun-weathered and sand-beaten architecture right down to the errant tumbleweeds, the place was on the verge of becoming a ghost town. It looked bleak. Then again, when the world was black and white, things tended to look that way.
Solving the mystery of Sandrock’s disappearing water was supposed to be the final case before taking a well-deserved vacation, and things were starting out great—that is, until an unfortunate accident completely derails the investigation, forcing the detective to lie low until suspicions blow over.
While she waits and plots the downfall of the forces bleeding Sandrock dry, there's plenty of other small-time cases to keep her occupied and plenty of shady characters to throw more obstacles in her way…

Summary
Harper Voss is alive. In East Halworth, that is a debt, not a mercy.
The Syndicate owns her now. Her time, her training, her name. What she gets in return is a gilded version of the same cage: better quarters, real food, a commander assigned to make her useful instead of dead. It is still a cage.
Not everyone under Roman's banner is willing to forget what she was, and they make sure she knows it. The jobs that follow test her in ways the training floor never could, putting her shoulder to shoulder with the people who burned her old life to the ground as the Syndicate's war with the Black Maw drags her back through things she thought she had left behind. Somewhere in the middle of surviving them, she starts trusting the ones standing beside her. Against her better judgement, she starts calling some of them friends.
Then, Harper stopped being a problem the Syndicate had to solve and became something worth protecting. That is a far more dangerous thing to be.
They bury what they can't hold onto. Harper Voss is about to find out how far the people who refuse to let go of her are willing to fall.

I FINALLY FINISHED THE STORY
I'm not going to lie, I suck at writing summaries. I've written so many versions, and all of them are terrible. So I'll be brief.
Basically, the story follows Clem, Kenny, and baby AJ after the Wellington ending. The story has a bunch of worldbuilding shit with a settlement called Renalia and a group of outcasts that were...you guessed it...outcasted from the main group.
But really, the story is about Clementine and Kenny's relationship. I tried very hard to give an accurate portrayal of Kenny. He is folksy and charming at times, while angry, mean, and downright cruel at others.
And after traveling with Kenny for the past year and a half, Clementine has had no other role model to look up to. She finds herself becoming more like him. And, unfortunately, in their relationship, there's only room for one Kenny.

The stock character of William Men has unfortunately fallen to irrelevancy in recent years. However, what cannot be denied is the fact that the character's history is intertwined with the history of Averfell.
Samuel Flyte was one of many soldiers there for major battles between the Iron Order and the Kingdom of Averfell, a mercenary who fought in the desperate defense in the Second Siege of Westhold Keep, the only remaining castle and major recruitment centre for much of Averfell's standing army between the Order and the capital of the Kingdom of Averfell.Thankfully, Flyte kept journals. A small selection of entries, mostly relating to Averfell and the Order, have been recovered, translated, and compiled.
I have chosen to give this work the 'original work' tag along with the host fandom as it follows more OCs than characters from the original text, and reimagines several aspects of the setting. If that is not what I should be doing tagging-wise, could anyone please point this out? Thank you!
