Robin Buckley was an awkward girl from the beginning. She never felt as though her clothes suited her or that she fit in with the crowd of teens in her high school. Her secret of her sexuality burdened her, and no one else was there to support and share her burden.
Amalia Roberts was terrified after just moving from Long Beach, California to Hawkins, Indiana she had no clue what was in store for a girl like her, a proud lesbian with nothing to hide. Nobody was going to take that away from her no matter how hard they tried.
Scared of what was to come, Amalia picked up a job at Scoops Ahoy and met Robin. The awkward tension was palpable, and the desire was yet to be brought to the surface. Will they be able to live the life they want to live, or will they hide in the shadows?

Lorsque Draken commence à se confier à lui sur des sentiments jamais dévoilés, Inupi lui offre bien sûr une oreille attentive. Ils sont amis après tout. Alors quand la chaudière d'Inupi tombe en panne, Draken lui propose naturellement de l'héberger quelques temps et il n'a pas vraiment d'autres choix que d'accepter. The question of who Virginia Victory Wilson is less a question and more a riddle.
She stands as an embodiment of the ideology while inherently being a person that contradicts it. After all, setting aside the person bit of her, Virginia Victory Wilson is a state, a goal and a president. She contains the history of the nation, the ideals of that country and the leader who both first kept his people out of war and then took them, gloriously and enthusiastically, into it.
She’s supposed to be a certain idea of America personified. And yet she is none of those things as a woman. Her history is not grand or lofty, though it is painful. Her femininity is not glorious or sexy enough to be victorious. She’s never had the power to stop violence and for all she has always been able to initiate violence, that’s less a choice and more of a harsh tug.
She’s a thing of contradictions, of expectations and divergences, but in those she’s never found who she is, only what she is supposed to be and what she can’t be. Then one day none of that mattered. Who she was, who she could have been, who she should have been, it was stolen by JT’s chains and touch and water and who she is becomes nothing but broken pieces.

Luckily I've just finished writing chapter 21 so alls good for at least a week! :)
