Two metrocops, 2316 and 2709, conversed between each other about the new 2530. After her fight with 2360 a few days prior, she'd certainly developed a divisive reputation. On one hand, people were dismissive of her behaviour, excusing it as her just being a kid and exajurating for attention. On the other they saw her as nothing but a lapdog to the Combine, to the point even people who'd joined out of admiration for their benefactors thought she was already a bootlicker. Slowly the former were becoming a minority, over the week she'd gotten a couple 'how does that boot taste' comments and at least four comments all basically calling her a dog. The only person who seemed to be neither was 2183.

As they grow older and become more and more aware of all the darknesses hidden from them, they decide to strike up a quiet rebellion to steal from the school and enact change through peace and nonviolence. Will it work? Or are they doomed to resort to violence under the threat of death?
Heavy Babel AU that's set in the late 1880's- early 1890's and follows the Hermes Society.
