Having been born early, sickly and female, there have been whispers of doing away with tradition and passing over the title to her bigger, stronger, very male cousin Snotlout whenever her father passes – despite the boy having both the temperament and brain of a goat. It certainly didn’t help that the years of increasing duty and Hallótta’s less-than-stellar attempts of making herself useful have strained her and her father’s once close relationship.
