There were so many dragons, and so many humans, that both sides were determined to triumph in a neverending war of them simply being each other's enemies.
There was also a human who was saved by a dragon, who learned to interpret their behavior, and who even lost dragons to the war between their species.
This human fled with two lone hatchlings.
One, among the last in a dwindling species.
The other, something that had never been before, and would never be again.
Or: I'm back on my HTTYD hyperfixation because the live action movie was awesome in my humble opinion. This is my own take on feral/raised by dragons Hiccup, lol, and I'm happily running with the opportunity to write a story with non-human culture and affectionate forehead taps.

So when a person from our world enters the live action How To Train Your Dragon, for security Stoick has him imprisoned. All of his knowledge to Stoick of their world and future events, far from helping, worsens his predicament.
Taking place in the live action How To Train Your Dragon, a person from our world who genuinely stumbles onto Berk by accident during a particularly sensitive moment between Stoick and Hiccup, a fan of the franchise, might've expected to be given a warm welcome, but the realities of the viking culture quickly put those notions to rest, and an already stressed out Stoick over his son's inability to step up and reputation as the clown viking of the tribe further makes the Chieftan angered and panicked at the emergence of a strange outlander.
Can such a predicament be overcome?

Diane-Marie's village has always had a dragon problem. She's not worried. It's nothing the brave (and possibly brash) warriors of Shire haven't already been handling for the past eleven generations. So what if there's still a dragon problem? It's not like there's ever been a problem other than dragons. Being dragon fighters is pretty much the identity of Shire, and all Diane's concerned with is how she can become someone that fits into that community.
But the dragon attacks are getting more frequent, food is becoming scarce, and more of the island's warriors sail off in search for those that never returned. All while rumors spread of an invading force from an unheard of land breaking through an impossible barrier.
Diane's world is about to become a lot bigger, and so will her problems. Change is coming, and whether Shire is ready or not may just fall to an oddball teen learning what it means to belong.
