Deutschland, 1947: Albrecht lebt seit dem Tod seiner Großmutter alleine in einem kleinen Haus am Meer, wo er sich größtenteils selbst versorgt und die absolute Ruhe genießt.
Bis er eines Tages einen ehemaligen, schwer verletzten Kriegsgefangenen am Strand findet, mehr tot als lebendig, und beschließt ihn für die Heilung aufzunehmen. Die beiden lernen sich gut kennen, und schon bald kommen sie sich ungewollt näher.
Bis zu dem Tag, an dem Albrecht herausfindet, wen er dort eigentlich wirklich im Haus aufgenommen hat... -
