Summary
Ever since the tragic death of her parents Salem has been able to see the dead. . .and they can see her. They always seemed to find her, no matter how far she ran, where she hid, there was nothing that could keep them away. So she stopped running. Now as an adult, she's learned how to use this "curse" for her benefit, as well as the benefit of the deceased who used to haunt her. In Hell, storms can last a week and kill anyone left outside. As the hotel trembles and the others retreat, Charlie finds herself stuck in a sitting room with an unusually subdued Alastor. Between her spiraling anxiety and his refusal to admit he’s hurting, an unexpected idea takes shape (and ideas like this can have unexpected consequences.)
Over the three days of isolation, they pick at each other’s beliefs and fears, trying to navigate similarities and differences, unavoidably getting pissed at each other plenty. At the end of the day, they are just two lonely creatures who have finally run out of places to hide.
