Unfortunately for him, the spell he found was mis-transcribed, and instead of sending the demon home after making their deal, he instead binds him to Earth, trapped in a human body and nearly powerless. He'll be able to send him home, eventually, but for now he's stuck with a roommate who doesn't know how to turn the shower on and sings while he makes pancakes.
