A ball forms in his throat as his eyes sweep over his long-lost companion. Akechi's hair was longer, and his eye bags were deeper. But most importantly, he had a new pair of gloves.
“Is it really you?”
“Who else would I be?”
TL;DR: Akechi has been alive this whole time and now Ren has to deal with it as a new evil lurks around the corner. It's up to you to help him navigate this situation and, hopefully, come out fine.
