He also removes the glove from his own right hand upon reciting his vows, and with the priestess’ guidance, Issei and Tooru’s inner wrists gently press together. It’s a symbolic exchange of scents, and it’s as intimate as the wedding will get. They’re, thankfully, past the era of public bonding.
Eita swears Issei flinches slightly upon the touch, but it’s gone within a blink. He wouldn’t be surprised, knowing what he knows.
The priestess smiles brightly and pronounces them officially married, and on cue, the two lean in for a chaste kiss, just long enough to be believable.
