Lewis pulls his stick back, putting just enough power before the inevitable shot. One more millisecond, a few centimeters of space left.
Then, the world tilts out of frame, the balance of his skates slipping forcibly out of his control. His stick is torn from his hands, skittering across the ice, and the puck, that’s gone now.
He slams into the ground with a shuttering crack. Even through the padding, the impact rattles him, until it feels like his brain has been shaken loose, all of his bones made to feel their purpose.

When the blond boy cannot stop himself from making Mark's life actual hell, and Webber finds himself in the constant cups of disadvantage with his team, tension flares all around. Both drivers keep running into each other, causing anger and annoyance to turn into something much more complicated. But Mark needs to win, and Vettel won't make it easy.
