Lewis no longer remembers when it began.
The constant buzzing sound that never seemed to leave his ears, or the static filter clinging to the edge of his vision. How his skin crawled, irritated at every touch, flinching at every contact made just because his nerves were a wreck, and he forgot there were still humans around him. The agonizing headaches have been clinging to him since the moment he woke up, subsiding only a little when he's in the car. The subtle hyperventilation every time he spiralled out of thin air, then quickly pinching himself awake so he could be normal again by the time Angela came to pick him up for briefing and Quali session.
His eyes stayed planted on Charles' back, and the Monegasque was adjusting his helmet while talking to his engineers. As he always did. Lewis felt a knot in his stomach as he thought about how well he would do today.
And how his blood would stain the gravel tomorrow. -

27 year old Max Verstappen is the said party freak who finally got a job and cut contacts with the last person who could hold him down in a cage.
Little did they know,destiny holds something greater for both of them, something that will tie them together.Alternatively, George watches drunk Max and becomes reminiscent of his own past not knowing the latter is going to be a prominent part of his future.
