When a young woman loses their entire family in a demon attack, a leader of the demon slayer corps recognized that there needed to be a safety net. The Ubuyashiki Doves were created to give these women a livelihood for as long as they needed, and most importantly, promise of an arranged marriage at the end of their service to the Master and his family. They are dedicated workers that see to the seamless management of the Ubuyashiki mansion as they all await to restart their lives.
A marriage between an upper ranking demon slayer and a Ubuyashiki Dove hasn't happened in over a century. Yes, Matt and Foggy will eventually end up together romantically. All in due time. I'll change the rating to mature eventually. Right now, the main theme centers around the father-son dynamic. There will have to be a POV switch away from Jack at some point.

You met Deran just over a year ago when he came back to town. He came into the bar a few times and you guys ended up becoming friends. Sometimes he does jobs with your brothers, against your advise.

Appa wasn't here, just Hongjoong, Hongjoong wasn't going to do anything. It was okay, everything was okay.'
Where Seonghwa has experiences he needs to process and Hongjoong is initially confused but manages to help Seonghwa heal, albeit accidentally.
