Yet, unbeknownst to Scrooge - Marley is heavily obsessed with him. However, at age 15, Scrooge enters a relationship with a girl called Belle Savelli. Marley begins to spiral himself into insanity, discarding his family, years of his life and sanity to plot and scheme Scrooge and Belle's demise - All in an effort to have Scrooge to himself, believing that they are destined for one another, but are his efforts in vain?
This is a prequel to an already finished fic called Increase The Surplus Population (ITSP) and part of a 3 part series. This fic provides incredibly key context and character building plot for the characters of Marley, Scrooge and Belle. ITSP is due for a re-write once this fic is finished.

The woman offered a gentle smile. “Oh, hello, it’s about this boy I found.”
