And then his Hogwarts letter came and with it the warmth he so desperately chased after.
But of course, it came with conditions.
Now used and once again resigned to his fate, he returns to the Dursleys for the summer after his second year. Unbeknownst to him, Sirius Black just broke out of Azkaban. One thing leads to another and Harry gets kidnapped by Sirius? Or atleast thats what Dumbledore thinks.
Here is where the story unfolds and Harry learns that those conditions ran much deeper than expected. Enemies turn friends. Friends turn foes. The golden trio isn't as golden as people think.
Oh, and Harry finally gets to feel the love of a family. A makeshift one, but one altogether. -

This is the exact reason Jon avoids these kinds of games, the way they mess with relationships, the way people always end up trying to spin things into being romantic or god forbid sexual. He laments that whatever is coming his way is probably something on the same level (though he is grateful it is at least coming from Basira, probably the least likely person to suggest something too egregious besides Martin), at least it isn’t 7 minutes in heaven.
