(The original version of TSYHitD has been discontinued. This is the rewrite of it, which is much cleaner and still follows the original story, and even reuses some parts/chapters. It has been Two Years since the Defeat of the Resistance and the Fall of McCarroll Ranch. The last pillars of hope have wholly collapsed in on themselves and have been replaced with Desperate Cynicism and Depression. Despite the relative pockets of Paradise and Safety within places like Sunnycove, the State of Virginia is in Free Fall.
All the progress that has been made has not only stagnated but begun to decay. Within the Ruins and the Rust, a New Hope will have to rise. For the Apocalypse is still raging, and every second is precious.
The Fate of Many hangs in the Balance, but to spark the new flame, first an old face will have to return to America. Otherwise, Deputy Carl Grimes will be fighting alone, in the World of The Walking Dead, where the odds only ever climb against his solitary gun and orange-wrapped blade.
Question is, where do we go from here?
