Zanka blinks in confusion, almost turning his neck to look at Lovely Assistaff before he realizes that he's not supposed to be able to move.
She’d clattered to the ground next to him when he fell, transforming back into plain blue wood shortly afterwards.

It was a simple routine: wake up, go to work, make some money, then go home and sleep. That is how it’d been for years, and how it will be for many more years to come.
Of course, most people would call that boring. Some might even worry about her health.
Quail was quite content with her life though. The simplicity and predictability of it all was rather comforting to her. Of course, she still made a point to do some things to shake up her routine, like…go to the park, but she wasn’t in any rush to change it.
It was, however, admittedly nice to see the streets of her little town bustling with life again, spurred on by the arrival of a traveling circus. Oh, but she didn’t plan to go herself. Quail was never one for horror.

Venus woke up in a cold sweat and realized that Theia was right. That he, in fact, was about to fall for his former bullying victim. The second planet from the sun and the hottest one at that…was developing strange feelings for Mercury.
And that was not so hot.

"Turn on the light," Ghost hissed as they stepped into the small, neatly furnished living room. He pressed the barrel of his pistol against the switch on the wall, still keeping Eva pinned in front of him like a human shield. "And close the curtains. Now. No sudden moves."
Eva lunged for the wall with a trembling hand. Click. The room flooded with soft yellow light that, after the pitch-black stairwell, felt blinding. She stumbled to the window, tripping over her own feet, and yanked the heavy blackout curtains shut with shaking hands, severing them from the outside world.
When she finally turned around, her green eyes widened in pure terror.
A monster stood before her.
A massive man, nearly two meters tall, encased from head to toe in black tactical gear. His face was completely hidden behind a balaclava, on which a grotesque white skull grinned menacingly. From the deep shadows of the mask, empty, dead eyes stared at her with no trace of emotion. His entire right side — from ribs to hip — was drenched in thick, dark blood that slowly dripped onto her clean carpet.
He didn’t look human.
He looked like Death itself had just crossed the threshold of her home.

It was 1954, and he had been selected by MI6 to join another psychologist in the facility in Arizona. Of course, he had to meet his new research partner, Dr. HJ Easterman, before getting started. Drugs were his specialty, and paired with Easterman's expertise on the idea of brainwashing, he knew the project was sure to take off. He couldn't have been more excited.
(Or, Easterman falls for a guy and can’t fully get over internalized homophobia and it ends up really really bad)

An alternative continuation of the Luna IV scene where Dottore trapped Aether. Traveler said Dottore could never know what he wanted. Dottore is determined to prove him wrong.
The Traveler has befriended Archons and Harbingers alike, but when it comes to Dottore, he refuses him outright. Through study, negotiation, and whatever agreements Aether can be persuaded to sign, he intends to make himself indispensable.
He understands what Aether wants, what he lacks, what he's been carrying alone for too long. He knows, and he offers, and Aether fails — gradually, then completely — to keep pretending that none of it is working on him.
Dottore did not expect to end up feeling understood in return, and yet Aether proves to be someone who wants him more than any of his initial plans accounted for.
Eventually, they become special for each other, in their own twisted way. The world, meanwhile, has its own plans to test just how much this bond can withstand.p.s. Dottore turned out autistic-coded, you’re welcome (or I’m sorry)
