Zanka is trying to figure out what the hell is going on with him.
At first, it all seemed like an illness. A nasty, distracting illness that he tried to overcome until it started to interfere. Having turned to Eisha, unable to bear the internal itch any longer, Zanka did not know what to do after the examination.
Healthy.
Impossible.
There was something inside him. If it wasn't a disease, then some kind of parasite, adept at hiding in Zanka's flesh?
Jabber laughed at this when confronted about the Cleaner's condition.
Jabber made it clear what it was.
After all, Zanka had always had a hard time.
Or, Zanka and Jabber are very uneasy with their feelings. No one is ready to accept them, Jabber tries to get rid of the root of their problems, and Zanka vacillates between hating and loving Jabber. Ultimately, these two could never accept something so ugly between them as love. Zanka copes by finding someone who accepts him and doesn't push him away. Jabber finds no solace.

Tim knew Jason was alive, there was no body, thus no proof of death. He knew Jason was alive, because somewhere out there in the wide depth of the multiverse, he knew his spark still shone. He knew this to be true, and he was going to find him. He was going to prove that he wasn't losing his mind (even if it felt like it) that he could do this.
But what will he do now that he found a way to travel to a whole other universe? Will he find his way to Jason? Will he be able to go home again? Will Jason even want to come with him? And why is he starting to lose so much time again?
But more importantly, who are all these people that seem so set on making sure he is ok? He's fine. Completely fine. Even if the voices are getting worse and he feels a bit like he is breaking. He'll be fine, he just needs to get Jason home. Then everyone can be normal again.
Or: the Tim focused sequel about found family and rekindling bonds. A character study into trauma, and a deep dive into Tim and Jason's complicated sibling bond.
Follow up to Stray Little Bat (but works as a stand alone). Going to be super slow to update until SLB is done, but I wanted to get it in chronologically.
