One is desperate to live. The other is desperate to be free. Each carries pain that should have broken them. In some ways, it already has. They stand on the edge of becoming their salvation or their ruin. There is something in the hybrid’s genetics that should not exist that could rewrite the limits of life itself, and it may be the only thing that can save Viktor. To study it would mean crossing lines of morality. To ignore it would mean accepting his own death. Viktor must learn to see beyond numbers and theory, to understand what the hybrid truly needs to survive, while confronting that saving himself may require becoming the very thing that broke the hybrid. And the hybrid must decide whether tomorrow is worth seeing.
