Summary
This rewrite of Strander Things is a love story at its core.
It follows Mike and Will as they grow up in Hawkins, survive the Upside Down, and slowly come to terms with something that feels just as terrifying in its own way: loving each other. This story is about two boys realizing what they mean to one another, what it costs to admit it, and what it takes to keep choosing each other when the world isn't built to make that easy-especially with the fear, violence, and homophobia surrounding them.
Alongside the romance, I wanted to give this story real weight. I tried to fix plot holes, gave more of a backstories to these characters, and build a narrative with real stakes. 🫣😊
Other relationships will also play an important role, including Lucas and Max, Dustin and Eleven, Jonathan and Nancy, and Hopper and Joyce., etc.
