Blinded, she ran into a table corner and pain stuck up her knee. Annabeth bent down to inspect it, but in the process, let go of her mask.
Coughs overwhelmed her entire body, weakening her and making her dizzy. Bile rose in her throat and she fought for breath.
She eventually failed at staying conscious and her eyes closed before she even hit the ground.
