Following the death of Benzo, Vander, Mylo, Claggor, and presumably Vi and Powder, Ekko returns to his life before meeting all of them. Life in the Underground slowly starts to shift as well, feeling the power vacuum left in Vander's absence. Those living in the Lanes debate if Vander really did skip town, or if it was just one big ploy from Silco to replace him as head of the Undercity. Regardless, things change, and they change rapidly as Silco rises to power alongside the chem barons. Sharp as ever and twice as cruel, the lanes are flooded with shimmer by Silco in an attempt to scare off Piltover and finally give the Undercity some leverage.
Ekko watches in dismay as it all falls apart around him, more alone than ever. If there's one thing Vi and Powder taught him though, it's that invention always paves the future and the fight you always get up in is the fight you win. Silco's got his eyes on Zaun, but Ekko has his heart set on its real future. And between his brilliant mind and a rag-tag team of kids willing to put down their lives for the cause, it's going to be hell for Silco to take it from him.
