“I wonder what would happen if I touched it. Would it feel soft, or hard like concrete?” I had always asked myself this question. People say demons live there. We even study it in our history books—but is that really true?
I glanced around. “No one’s here. So what could happen if I touch it, right?”
I raised my hand, my heartbeat quickening. “It’s all just made up. Nothing will happen.”
I moved my hand closer to the violet wall. At first it looked solid, but when I leaned in, I noticed it was half-transparent, and there was something on the other side.
Placing both palms against the barrier, I stepped closer to see what was hidden beyond.
Seeing no movement, my pulse eased a little. I pressed harder—when suddenly, right in front of me, a face with terrifying eyes appeared.
Startled, I tried to pull away, but my hands felt stuck to the wall. And the creature reached its arms through the barrier… and began dragging me inside. -
