Waking up on the side of the road, in the middle of the night, is not a good thing. Especially when Kianna so clearly remembered going to sleep in her own bed earlier on. Her phone was by her side on the ground, along with some of her other possessions. How they or she got there was a mystery. A group driving by gave her a lift to the nearest town, Mystic Falls, Virginia. A fictional place she'd only seen on a TV screen.
The driver helped her up and offered her a lift; He seemed almost used to this kind of thing. The man in the passenger seat looked confused and impatient, like this wasn't worth his time. The girl in the back just spoke to her and reassured her she was alright.
Kianna adapted as well as one can hope to a new world of witches, werewolves, and vampires. However, figuring out how she got here and what her family has to do with a fictional supernatural hot spot (and trying to help them deal with Katherine in the process) weren't her only problems. Pretty soon, there would be an Original in town. Then another. Then 3 more. And they all seem to recognise her.
Set after TVD Season 2 Episode 3. Has references to later seasons and events from Chapter One.

“Be careful with his head,” Hayes is saying, voice thick with something. It is disturbing to see him so serious. Bood nods, and starts moving a lump out of the seat.
Ilya raises an eyebrow, confused. “Who is passed out in my seat?”
That is when Ilya finally sees what Bood and Hayes are crowding over. It is himself, his own body, passed out and slumped against the seat in the row in front of him. There is a worrying amount of blood coming out of his nose and a cut by the back of his head. Head wounds are terribly dramatic, but Ilya feels worried about this one. Mainly because he’s floating around like a ghost.
ilya gets hit on the head during the emergency landing in Tampa and thus begins his week-long stint as a ghost. whatever bad thing that can happen, the proceeds to do so. it's definitely not fun for ilya, and definitely not fun for shane either.

Grace Madison a successful witch doctor. People across the country talk about how she can get rid of any curses, including Wenona's. The belief that all witches, but especially Wenona, fear her for her cures means she is the one who must live with Wenona to make sure she won't escape before the execution date.
Grace doesn't want to do this, but no one else will. She convinces herself that she can force Wenona to obey, but Wenona brings an unexpected challenge—one that not only makes her want Wenona to live but also make her want Wenona to live alongside her. The worst part is that Wenona used no magic to change Grace's thinking.
