“You — you — you’re alive?” Glinda said. Elphaba said a silent prayer, watching as her friend examined her body as if something was hiding — scars that never healed: a broken bone that wasn’t set properly in her childhood. A catch that Glinda couldn't calculate.
“How?” She had seen her die. For the past five months, it replayed in her head every night before bed.
