He scans the landscape outside of the cockpit, looking for somewhere, anywhere, clear enough for them to set down.
"What?!" Rooster shouts.
"No other choice," Maverick says, spotting a clearing in the trees. It's not ideal, but it'll have to do. He's getting more and more warning lights flashing at him, and they're running on borrowed time. "It's going to be rough," he warns. Even if they had a runway that was paved and not snow-covered dirt, they're missing a landing gear.

Sirius’ charm was more evident than his guitar skills, even though they were pretty good.
That was theirs, and it was perfect for them. It fit them. Everyone knew, the moment they said they were starting a band, that it would sound like this: three boys determined to be the best of the best. Remus’ mouth curved at the edge as he watched Sirius with that thought.
