Falling into bed with your ex is never the right choice, especially when you haven't seen each other in three-hundred years. Bonnibel can't seem to help herself, and Marceline has no intention in controlling her urges.
Relationships are hard, doing things right is harder. Trying to fix what's broken can seem impossible when you can't keep your hands off each other, or when your partner expects the world of you.
Rewriting the entire series to have Marceline and Bubblegum's relationship intentional from the start, complete with comic books, side books and lore books, video games, and spinoff shows. Starts shortly after S1E12: Evicted! Planning on playing with some pretty dark themes. Thanks for the read!

“Mike,” Will admonishes gently. Truthfully, out of the two of them, Will is the one who tends to jolt them both awake with choked off gasps and stifled sobs. “I’m here for you too, you know that. Right?”
“No, yeah, I know,” Mike says hurriedly. He abandons the waffle he’s only taken a couple bites of in favor of rubbing at his temples and closing his eyes with a wince.
“Headache?” Will asks, getting up to rummage through the cabinets and find some painkillers.
“Yeah, for a few days now.” Something itches in Will’s brain, half-formed and mostly forgotten. He watches Mike pop the pills into his mouth and dry-swallow them, making Will wince and push a water bottle towards him until Mike takes it with a wry smile. “Probably just the stress, you know? I can’t stop thinking about Holly, and my parents, and—and you…”
“I’m fine,” Will says automatically, thankful that for once, it’s mostly true.
“I’ll believe that once Vecna’s gone and all of this is over for good,” Mike tells him.

“W-wait-“ Ragatha stammered as they all tried to resist being pulled forward. “Aren’t you going to explain what we’re doing!?”

Patton has been doing his best, trying to balance new conflicts amongst his famILY with the task of learning to understand Janus and Remus just a little bit better. So far, one of the scariest—and yet brightest—parts of those efforts has seen him getting close to Janus. Or, at least, the parts that Janus was willing to show him, anyway. It was intimidating but also wonderful...and still somehow easier than most things tended to be these days.
Or it was until Virgil decided it was time for Patton to finally learn the truth about the side he was cozying up with.

Under the newly formed pressure of running the Bodega, KO cracks.
Nobody sees it, because of KO's best efforts. He is normal. He doesn't suffer from depression, or borderline personality disorder, or autism, or whatever else those psychiatrists try to tell him he has. He's not sick.
It sounds awful to say, but that is for sick people. He's fine. He feels fine. He's not sick.
But one day, it becomes too much to handle and he breaks down, causing TKO to unmerge from the sheer amount of distress.
After a hard conversation, TKO offers to take over for KO for the time being, until he feels better.
Unfortunately for KO, it was better out there than it is in his mind.
OR: KO faces his personal demons in his mindscape, while TKO faces his personal demons in the real world. Inspired by the Silent Hill Franchise.
