Now we were standing there, shield to shield. I knew - well, I hoped that we both knew very well that this was nothing. Like two wolves snarling at each other, a demonstration of power, without any real intent to harm.
“I have no desire to tear your home apart by playing this game,” he said, breathing a little harder than it would be normal.
“And I have no desire to blow your pompous head off either,” okay - that wasn’t exactly true.Stephen accidentally ended up in Harry’s universe — where he, of course, shouldn’t even exist.
How can he handle a world where magic is brutally practical and down-to-earth?
And how can our two stubborn wiseasses try to help each other — while dealing with the fact they can’t always be in control?This is my first-ever fanfic (and of course, I had to start with a 40k+ word story), so the beginning might be a little clumsy, but if you like the idea, give it a try.
The story is set after Battle Ground.
*Spoiler alert* if you haven’t read it!
About Stephen: Marvel comics’s story line is a mess, and I have problems with the movies too, so I might interpret him more freely. He exists after his two movies, but he’s the Sorcerer Supreme, of course. -

“Nick, don’t be like that.” Judy continued. Apparently, the half-baked reassurance he tried to give did little, if nothing, to ease the rabbit’s nerves.
“Well, what do you want me to say, huh?”
“I just don’t want you to lie to me and say you’re fine while we’re sitting in a hospital because you probably have a concussion and hopefully nothing worse.”
“Which reminds me to ask again, how did you find out?”
“You’re my partner, and I feel guilty for all you went through, so I asked Hoggbottom if there would be any reason you wouldn’t answer my calls besides being tired.”
“You called me at 5 in the morning after almost two whole days of being on the run.”
“And we separated for a while, so maybe something hurt you during those almost twelve hours I spent with Gary and Pawbert.”
“My paw became a cat toy, and I got hurt.” Nick waved a red paw wrapped in white gauze around, knowing it would annoy her.
“Besides that, Nick,” she groaned, shoving his paw gently to the side.

I thought you were supposed to be polite Canadian boy.” A breath of laughter sounded in his ear and Ilya perked up despite himself even if he did beat down his grin with sheer force of will. “Are you drunk? You drank without me and now you miss me. Very sad for you.”
“I—"
Ilya’s smile dropped in an instant and his feet hit the carpet as he vaulted off the bed. Something was wrong. Hollander sounded wrong.
“Hollander, what is wrong?” Ilya demanded and listened hard.
Then he heard it. Shaky inhales and even shakier exhales that made his stomach drop to the floor.
“I need—" Hollander’s voice broke as he took in a pained breath. He was in pain.
Ilya started scrambling for his shoes. “Talk to me, Hollander.”

A bad concussion during a solo mission leads to a stay in the infirmary for Fushiguro Megumi. That in and of itself is nothing out of the ordinary. As a jujutsu sorcerer, he's accustomed to returning from missions a little worse for wear. Just a night or two, he'd assumed. He'd sleep it off and be back out in the field in no time at all.
But traumatic brain injuries are no joke, and the painful, prolonged ordeal that follows not only uncovers a side of Megumi that he normally keeps under stoic wraps, but of Gojo Satoru as well — as his devoted mentor tenderly and patiently cares for his star student on the road to recovery.

“Get the fuck up,” Endeavor hisses out, kicking his leg forward as the sole of his boot collides with Shouto’s ribs. He coughs, the taste of blood persistently present in the back of his throat just from how bitterly dry it is.
He needs to get up.
The second kick startles him when it shouldn’t. Right for his ribs, right in the same spot it always seems to land. The bone is supposed to be stronger the second time around, but Shouto hears as much as he feels the terrifying crunch of his rib cracking from where Endeavor peels back his foot.

Todoroki Shouto doesn't have much. But he has his dad, and that probably means more to him than it should. So when he has no choice but to go to school with a concussion, he honestly doesn't think it's that big of a deal; that anyone will notice. Until someone does, and then they all do, and then it all sort of unravels from there. -
