Summary

Three times... she failed.
No matter what she does... no matter what house she commands... no matter how she tries to go about it... Nemesis keeps winning. Killing all of her allies and friends...
Taking the ones she loves from her...
On the fourth loop, Byleth is ready to end it all, but a mysterious warrior named Shez from another timeline makes his way into hers. Wanting to help her, Shez offers her one last opportunity to save everyone and stop Those Who Slither in the Dark for good. Not long after... Sothis makes herself known again for the first time since the first loop, now wanting to help her technical great granddaughter anyway she can.
Giving this one more try... Byleth resolves to do whatever it takes to save Fodlan. Even if she has to give up everything to do it.
No matter what it takes.
Or: Byleth, with Shez and Sothis by her side, gives one last attempt to save Dimitri, Claude, Edelgard, every one of her students, Jeralt, Rhea, and Foldan itself and end Nemesis once and for all. But even Byleth wasn't prepared for what would come as a result of this choice...

Claude isn't as clever as he thinks he is and after pulling a (mostly) harmless prank on Lorenz, Byleth decides that just giving him detention would be a waste of time. After pitting him against Felix as both a punishment and to hone his swordsmanship, Claude is utterly exhausted and seeks relief in the monastery's sauna. It all goes downhill from there.

As Shez knocked on the door, it creaked, jarring slightly. They frowned. Claude would never leave his bedroom unlocked. Dread crept up the back of their throat. They pushed the door wide open, bracing themself for whatever sight awaited them.
“Claude?” Shez’s heart dropped to their stomach. “Claude!”
There he lay, face down a scant few steps from the entrance, still fully dressed in his armor and battle-worn clothes. Motionless. His cape fanned forward, leaving its golden lining exposed over his head. From underneath it, his arm stretched out.
During their final battle, The Immaculate One places a curse on Claude.
