“This is your fault,” Gaara says, and there’s venom in every word. “I don’t know what you did, I don’t know how you did it, but you infected Shukaku and me. I need you to fix it and take out whatever you put inside me.”
“I-I didn’t d-do anything!” Hinata screams, her voice breaking. “I-I don’t know what you’re t-talking about! P-Please, just… just g-go away!”
“I can’t,” Gaara replies simply, and now there’s something desperate in his tone. “I’ve tried to walk away, I’ve tried to forget, I’ve tried everything, but you’re there, always, like a poison in my blood I can’t remove.”
He crouches in front of her again, and this time when he speaks, his voice is barely a broken whisper.
“I can’t sleep, Hinata. I haven’t slept since that day in the forest. Every time I close my eyes, Shukaku takes control and forces me to seek your chakra. I’ve been on the outskirts of Konoha for weeks, fighting him, fighting myself, and tonight… I lost.”

This story is a novelization of the events of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, following the Crimson Flower story but using events from the other stories, Cindered Shadows included, to tell the full story of the game. Think of it as "complete" story, not a golden story, and don't come in expecting every character to make it out alive.
There's a heavy emphasis on character-building moments and the slow growth of the Black Eagles and their allies, and I do my best to avoid simple direct portrayals of in-game cutscenes after the first few chapters. The pace is slow but steady, and I keep a strict upload pace of one chapter every other week.

“The Green Ninja…” whispers the boy. Lloyd looks down. Even when no one would see him, he couldn’t help but wear his gi. They stare at each other for a moment, the world is finally quiet as well. “FSM, you’re The Green Ninja! Wait! You said help-” the kids moving a mile a minute, it’s so unlike himself as a kid that Lloyd can’t help but smile under his mask. “Can you…can you help her?” The kid gets quiet again before stepping to the side, revealing another child. A girl around the kid’s age, hair drawn away from her face, though Lloyd can’t tell the exact color. He pushes up the hood of his gi, and removes his mask. He didn’t think the kid’s eyes could get any wider. Stepping up to the girl she’s breathing hard, despite being unconscious she seems uncomfortable, and one head to her forward confirms Lloyd’s suspicions. She has a fever.
Lloyd turns to the boy, “My name is Lloyd, it’s nice to meet you.”

Summary

Follow along as the girls learn what it truly means to be a part of a group that accepts you for who you are, not who they wish you were.
