The empty briefing room smelled of cigarettes and gun powder, as always, dim sunlight coming in from the a window. Sunlight, oh, it was a death sentence on Dune, thus causing people to hide in the day and move in the night. Just a day from now, a trip to Arrakis, an expensive one would start, a new era, an end to many. 141 was assigned for a joint operation with House Atreides, to help with spice smuggling and make a connection with the fremen. For the past few days, this was all Soap could think about. The sandplanet. The hellhole, the natives. These news got the base oddly busy, like a disturbed anthill, more damn briefings, more yelling and orders and higher damn payments just to get more people on Arrakis and let them poke around for spice and what not.

He was easy on the eyes- that was for damn sure- but he was also arrogant, vain, selfish, stupid and, if not actively cruel, at the very least a little mean-spirited.
Pen was the kind of guy to fall into a relationship because it was convenient and made him feel good. He was the kind of guy to give vague excuses about it “just not being the right time” because he didn’t want to commit but still wanted the perks.
They’d known that the same way an enraged wild yakmel knew not to attack its neighbour: because the two of them were the same kind of animal.
Sure, they hadn't exactly been excited to find out they'd been fucking a murderous war criminal, but even with Pen broken out of prison, they didn't really see how that was supposed to be their problem. He wasn't a sentimental guy.
It wasn't like he was going to come back for them.

Regect glanced at the bottles on the table, one or two of them being unopened. He snatched one of them and read its contents. His eyes widened. Doing some mental math, he felt his heart stopped when he concluded his calculations after a split second.
He whipped his head towards Maturin, furious. "Taking care of him my ass— two and a half bottles!?" He showed Maturin the side of the bottle that was filled with its contents. "This is like— 750 ml, all of them are! And that shit contains like 10 units of alcohol— and 12 freaking units is already lethal dude! You nearly let him get alcohol poisoning!"
"You can get poisoned by alcohol!?" Maturin yelled back in confusion.

Ze is a happy and a clingy drunk when he nearly gets alcohol poisoning. Instead of doing the right thing and head to bed, his drunken mind wants to go fishing with Msak and spar with Regect.
