Blake Belladonna is the first Faunus ever allowed in Beacon Academy, meant by Ozpin and her father to become the symbol of a new age of friendship and unity between humanity and the Faunus. Will she live up to that, or is there something else going on…
Yang Xiao Long is just a girl with the best mom and best sister ever looking for fun and looking to help people. But just what are these strange new feelings she has for her teammate?
With her team consisting of a mentally unstable heiress, a sister who doesn’t quite understand her, and a Faunus with the weight of the world on her shoulders, Ruby’s dreams might all fall apart. And her own expectations might crush Ruby Rose herself until nothing is left.

The Blacksmith, in all fairness, did tell them exactly what was about to happen. The problem, really, is that when five heretofore unknown figures suddenly blip into existence a good decade and a half into the past, a lot of very powerful people notice.
And many of them are less than pleased.
Or: Those five from the Ever After, Jaune Arc, Blake Belladonna, Yang Xiao-Long, Weiss Schnee, and Ruby Rose, do not end up in Vacuo. Instead, they end up scattered across Remnant, 12 years in the past.

As we know, it would be the protectors who would win the day. The mortal soul would be preserved.
In another world, that would be that, and an era of peace between the four kingdoms would be that conflict's only legacy.
But here... Mantle is not defeated. Instead, it is betrayed. And so, they turn their back on the world, and build walls instead of bridges. Mantle became Atlas, nothing short of a nation-sized fortress, with no ways in, or out.
History changes and stirs. But the hope of a simpler, gentler soul can endure even when faced with history's greatest divergences.
