Her mother’s voice echoed in her temples.
Monster.
Another heartbeat. So heavy and frantic it made her stagger from within.
She swallowed; the taste was metal and panic.

Scott Goldsmith, His Lord, had always been an interesting mortal, even as a child, when he had first found himself in the employ of the Young Lord. It would be a lie if Abolish were to say he had never considered turning His Lord even before he had found out the truth of Abolish's existence. Lord Goldsmith was young even by mortal standards, though— being one of few remaining of the title he had come to have much sway within his house. In a way it was strange for Abolish to be in servitude to a mortal lineage, as many of his kin had been so considerate to point out upon discovering the truth of his own existence and that was to ignore the few who had the liberty of discovering his true age. It was an odd position he had placed himself into. Nevertheless, it was his own actions which had thus found him in this position and he was rather content with staying in his position until a new item decided to make themselves of interest to Abolish.
