Soonyoung looked at him for a very long moment, his lips twisting into a wry smile. There was an amused glint to his eyes, the sparkle of something that Jihoon would allow to remain unnamed. He learned, recently, that to name something was to make it infinite. He did not want Soonyoung or his strange looks to be infinite.
“You do that,” Soonyoung said. He stood, muscles flexing with the movement again, and Jihoon watched it with his lips twisted into a frown. “See you soon, Jihoon-ah.”
It sounded like a threat.

He had been working at Red Lotus Club for many years. Chu Fei had built up a reputation for his artistic work on the pole and for beating the shit out of assholes.
He danced with grace and elegance on the pole. His transitions were smooth. Even the other dancers liked to watch Chu Fei practice.
Dancing at clubs was not what Chu Wanning thought he’d ended up doing, but at least he chose to be here.

Chu Wanning was kicked out at eighteen. College in the United States is expensive as hell. Being cut off, Chu Wanning has to pay his way in life now. Because of the kindness of a few dancers at a diner, they helped the poor college student get on his feet by getting him a job at Red Lotus Club. Wanning started as a server. He later on became a dancer to pay his way through grad school.(A fic that is kind of a commentary on the US higher education system.)
