You are an artist that paints murder tableaus. You meet a strange and handsome man at your art show who likes to talk about art and eventually meet his (murder husband) partner and both take an interest in you that verges on obsession at times.
Chapters are labelled with characters POV (ex. You, Will, Hannibal) and chapter titles are based on which character is narrating. I am using the Victorian Flower language often in chapters with their meanings explained, but chapter titles I leave as is. I am using The Language of Flowers: An Alphabet of Floral Emblems which I will add a link to every chapter. For Will's POV, I don't know anything about fishing and I am picking lures that I feel match the vibe

Without warning, you felt a shadow loom behind you. Before you could turn, the figure wrapped both of their arms around your neck and grabbed your throat in a chokehold. You let out a startled cry of fear, but you couldn’t breathe. Pure horror gripped your soul as you struggled.
“Who are you, and what are you doing on my land?!?” the figure snarled, their voice surprisingly clear. They released their chokehold on you and instead pinned you against a tree, their teeth bared. You let out a small whimper, looking up at them.
You could see that the sun from above the trees wasn’t shining enough through to properly see their face, but their sharp, white teeth was all you need to know that this figure… wasn’t human.
