But the last couple who rejected their bond went mad, and the Elvenking and his Heart's Match are unlikely to support their cause. More than that, several House residents have their own agendas with ensuring that neither give up on their bonds so easily. After all, a rejected bond would not only destroy the lord and lady, but quite possibly the entirety of Middle Earth.
Surviving their scheming peers is a nonissue. It's surviving their bond that worries Elrond.

This is the origin story of my character in a homebrewed Dungeons and Dragons campaign, Evermore. The campaign is set in a universe inspired by The Elder Scrolls and The Forgotten Realms. Four years later, Mira will be part of an adventuring group traveling to the frigid lands of Eldrim.

Ichigo didn't think anything stranger could happen in his life after discovering that the afterlife was real, that a bunch of katana-wielding lunatics were guiding souls to the afterlife, and that monsters apparently existed and literally wanted to eat your soul. And now he had to hunt them down with powers that weren't his, to begin with.
Then he had to backtrack when he was forced to invade the cursed other world to save his friend, and to top it all off, fight a megalomaniacal lunatic with delusions of grandeur, losing those powers in the process.
After that, he thought nothing else strange could happen.
He had to learn to keep his mouth shut because now he was in a room with friends and enemies alike, with another lunatic forcing them to read a book supposedly from another world in order to get out.
He just wanted to be able to finish high school in peace. Was that too much to ask?
