Morality never made a strong impression on her though it controlled everything that a mortal did every step of the way.
Mortals were too engrossed in morality of the immortal that they failed to recognise that morality was in perpetual conflict with the immortality and there were many things that died when you lived forever. You were living but not alive, you were happy but hardly joyous in truth.

But Louis wasn’t into poetry.
He was into the way Harry would sit on their balcony in Paris, barefoot, legs propped against the iron railing, a book in his hands for hours.
or: Louis remembers all of his past lives, and Harry doesn’t, but he still keeps falling in love with Louis in every single one.

The love simmers inside his body, rushes through his veins, and makes his skin prick and his heart swell dangerously. Some day, his heart will grow too big for his chest, and it'll rip open on his sharp ribs. The blood will spill out of his chest, so so red and so so beautifully. Because red is such a pretty colour. The colour of passion. The colour of love. The blood will seep into his clothes and onto the floor, staining everything with a sticky texture before it dries out. Just like the words will spill out of his mouth one day. He knows it's inevitable. The confession will stain their relationship and dry it out, too. Ironic, isn't it—how much Jisung relates to blood.
Or Jisung falls in love with his (straight) friend Chan.

Tanjiro and Nezuko are married to their respective spouses, and they try to live within the vows they have taken, but Tanjiro cannot quiet the thoughts of his sister, and the things he would rather do to her than anyone else.
He turns to his Buddhist practices for control. He can tell himself his craving are old habits that carried over through lives, that they are only illusions he needs to wake up from. However, his practice is slow, and the pull of what he loves is quick and intense; it cannot be released that easily.
Sometimes, he thinks the pull will send him over the edge. It does not help that the memories he experiences with each meditation suggest such a fate already.
