Summary
This is a work of what I call "speculative mythology." It's the shared, continuous stories of a highly eusocial people, and the many names that have emerged across the telling and retelling, translating and re-translating of these tales across many generations. It's bug lore, ant mythology, spec myth, a love letter to a people who never existed. There's Skith, who climbed. Akti, who ran. The two-tandem of Sett and Tattik. Rika, who went downward, and who dueled in the Serpent-Tunnel. The Small Colony, the Four Tree Colony, the tumult of Our Mound where no Queen lives, and the great labors of the Gods Inside.

Summary
Wooyoung, deity of yarrow flowers, gets promoted unexpectedly to the god of seasons after the major gods wiped themselves out in the Last War. But the responsibility other minor deities seem to take over so easily feels more like a burden to him. So when the chance presents itself to escape to the underworld, he takes it without looking back - and without thinking about the consequences.
The god of the dead, San, turns out to be as lonely as Wooyoung, so any company is welcome to him. Especially that of a pretty flower wandering his halls, refusing to be controlled without making San work for it. And work he does.

This is the lore and history for an original mythos of monster people that I am working on. There are maps, author's notes in the beginning, and a whole textbook worth of fictional history covering the creation of the world, the gods that inhabit it, the wars the people fought, the various monsterkind that inhabit it, and how it eventually comes into contact with Earth (because of course it has to), and lots of other things! It takes inspiration from a lot of different folklores and media, so click and check it out!
Note: Lore doc is finished, so this story is going to be updated every four days or so until it's done.
Latest World News: Gulfarin experiences an explosion in biodiversity as new species fill the empty ocean. Adja and Nile founds itself as new Gulfarin regions in 1297 A.R. and 1088 A.R. respectively, becoming allies against Metacarona.

The world does not need another All Might. What it gets, it may not be able to handle. Either way, Deku will make Gran Torino proud. All Might, not so much.
The King in Yellow takes to the stage; it is time to see who dances to the tune of his storm.
