"It takes me another moment before I realize that I wasn’t hurting from the fall. There’s no struggle to get air back into my lungs. I’ve tumbled end over end, and sort of landed upright. All my limbs are sprawled in every direction.
Rocky skitters down to my level, right up against the xenonite. “Grace fall! Hurt question? Okay okay okay?”
With all my brainpower, I focus on responding. 'Y-ye-es,' I manage to chirp. I freeze. Process.
That was definitely not English. Or any other human language. I didn’t move any muscles to speak.
'Y-ees,' I say again, and the same chirping note comes out. Inside me, I feel the shifting of five gas-filled… things. That note came from me. But it sounded like Rocky."...
In which Grace wakes up as an Eridian. And then a human. Eridian again.
Figuring out how to walk and sing is the first step. The rest will have to come later.

“I loved him, Rosie,” Alastor’s fingers clenched the fabric of her dress, wrinkling it, as if he needed something to keep himself from breaking apart. “He was my friend,” his voice cracked. “I… I thought he would be different.” He lowered his head.
“Alastor...”
“Al!” A different voice echoed in his mind, but he tried to ignore it.
“I want to hate him,” he tightened his grip on her dress. “I want to hate him, but…”
He swallowed.
“A part of me misses him. Misses what we were before the deal.”
Alastor felt Rosie’s hand gently stroking his back. “You can grieve him, Alastor. You can mourn what you lost.”
“Al, come on!” he heard that voice again, closer now, more desperate, but he kept ignoring it.
“I didn’t want it to end like this,” Alastor confessed quietly. “I didn’t want to lose him, but he… he…”
Alastor closed his eyes, unwilling to finish the sentence. He leaned into Rosie’s arms, and the tears he had been holding back finally fell.
“Open your eyes, Al!”

Lloyd Garmadon has never been the best with feelings. Most of the time they're a jumbled mess that he tries to desperately untangle, and he usually fails. When him, Sora, and Arin crash the new Land Bounty while searching for Ras they find something (or should I say someone) that only tightens this knot: Akita, who is undeniably over-joyed to finally see Lloyd again after all these years. She hasn't changed much in appearance, but now that she's not busy plotting the downfall of a tyrannical emperor with control over ice she seems a lot softer.
Arin and Sora haven't really had a problem with feelings like Lloyd's, given that they don't really know what romance is. Is it marriage? Is it some stage in between? When do people stop being friends and become something else? Neither of them know the answer, and as they spend time with Akita and Lloyd they start needing their questions answered.
But seeing Akita makes Lloyd's head spin, he still doesn't really know how he feels about her, and whether it's stupid to assume she ever really liked him like that. After all the things he's done, would she really like him? His heart hopes so, but his thoughts tell him otherwise.
