Issac works from home in an isolated region of the Great Rocky Mountains. The best of both worlds is his: a high-tech job that can be performed at home and enough free time to do all the off-roading he wants. Today is going to be a rare treat. It's Halloween, and the snow has come early this year.
Twelve inches of fresh, wet snow blanket the ground and weigh heavily in the surrounding trees. The ice-cold wind is blowing about fifteen to twenty mph from the south. It's a perfect morning to go make a shit load of new virgin tracks in the snow. Gathering his emergency backpack, he dresses warmly and walks out to his side-by-side. Starting the machine, he lets it warm up a few minutes before zooming down the snow-covered road. A few miles along, he turns off the main road and heads deeper into the mountains when he spies an unusual trackway in the snow. He's seen these tracks before... just not in winter. A tumbling tumbleweed has joined him this morning to enjoy the freshly fallen snow.
Up ahead of him, he sees his early morning companion has run afoul of a treacherous mesquite bush. Pulling up beside the tumbleweed, Issac asks politely if it needs help freeing itself. But when the tumbleweed answers...
