Summary
Mabel Tanaka is moving on with her life, having recently graduated from college and begun working for Dr. Sam and her team, making a future for herself in the human world.
So why doesn’t it feel like enough?
The connection she lost during the Hoppers project isn’t gone, just out of reach. She still visits George in the grove on a regular basis, but it isn’t the same. The longing to reclaim that connection sparks a drive to take it back, and once she learns that the animals that she has come to care about so deeply are in danger again, she decides to break the rules to make it happen.
The more pushback she gets from the powers that be in the human world, and the more good she manages to do while hopping as a beaver once more, the more the animal world feels like home…and the easier it becomes to justify going further than she ever should to protect it.
Because, if she feels like she’s making more of a difference, making more genuine connections, and feeling more like herself when she’s a beaver…why go back to the human world at all?

While Hyrule has been steadily healing from the aftereffects of the Calamity, the waking of an ancient evil throws everything into chaos yet again. The Hero who ended the Calamity is (not) ready to face another threat while still grappling with who he is supposed to be, and while he still has to, fate won't let him do it alone: A strange beast covered in mystery waits for him under the earth, and an ever-elusive impostor seems to be doing his work for him, all the while the Demon King finds he has competition if he wishes to conquer Hyrule once more. Throw into the mix a weirdly sentient magical arm, a need to learn to let go, and the aftershock of (a) Link's choices during the year of Calamity Ganon's defeat, and who knows who'll end up winning and how. -

This is a Radiostatic fic centered around Alastor and Vox, set right after Season 2.
Vox has lost everything, his body, his influence, his control.. and now exists only in fragments across Hell’s systems (still has his head though), quietly rebuilding himself through abandoned networks and broken screens. He’s not gone. Just… not whole.
Alastor, meanwhile, is back at the hotel, freer than ever. No deals. No limits. And when he notices the strange signal disturbances spreading through Hell, he doesn’t stop them. He watches. New Entertainment, innit?
Things go wrong when Vox attempts a full signal synchronization to restore himself—and Alastor obviously interferes, not to help, but to dominate. Instead of one winning, something breaks.
They create “Dead Air”: a layer between signals made of corrupted broadcasts and overlapping identities. And inside it, something new begins forming.. something that wants both of them.
Now Vox must reclaim the parts of himself trapped inside it, while Alastor tries to understand it without losing control. Forced cooperation, tension, and very bad decisions included.

Slaine ends up standing face to face with the gang's leader - Inaho - who first appears to be cold and dismissive, but the more Slaine pesters him about adventures in Lower Manhattan the more soft hearted he turns out to be.
