He’s familiar; she’s probably met him a few times before at award ceremonies or photo ops, though she can’t place him.
“I’m sorry,” he says. “Your father is a good man.”
“What are you sorry for?” she says. “He’s not dead.”

Unfortunately for all of them, Barbara isn't content to sit around waiting on Batman or the police.

“As best we can.” Crystal responds. “I’ve practically had to work through the whole thing. Thank god for our neighbours, they checked up on Steph for me while I was stuck at work.”
Dick frowns but nods. “I’m glad she didn’t get stuck completely alone. I imagine finding a babysitter wasn’t very possible with the shelter in place orders.”
“Uhg, don’t get me started.” Crystal responds, pinching the bridge of her nose. “If I could I would have just brought her with me to work but I work at a high risk building...”
He winces in sympathy. “Are you off today?”
“Finally.” Crystal groans. “Figured I’d give Steph a chance to get out of the house. Is that why you’re here?”
“Knida,” Dick makes a so-so gesture with his hand. “My girlfriend works here. Her tires got punctured on the way in so we’re picking her up then going to her apartment. She's just upstairs.”

After being kidnapped, raped, abused and murdering his capture he gets found by Jason who he learns to love despite Peter being a schizophrenic and recently emerged from the Lazarus pit. They both have to work out their relationship around Peter getting hunted, kidnapped and chased all over Gotham and then Peter has to help Jason tell his family he's alive again.
