Bruce helped Damian off the swing and guided him toward the miniature seesaw next. Damian climbed on with all the solemn concentration of someone embarking on dangerous work. Bruce took the opposite seat, using barely any weight at all, lifting Damian up and down while the toddler giggled so hard he nearly slipped sideways.
Jason snorted from across the playground.
“You’re ridiculous,” he called.
Bruce glanced at him. “You’re welcome to join us.”
“I’d rather die.”

Tim felt so fucking tired. It didn't matter how much he slept, his eyelids always weighed a thousand pounds and the thought of getting up sometimes seemed impossible. Lately, he’d felt as if there was a constant weight in his chest that only ever went away when pain overpowered it.
He almost considered self harm, but when you're missing a spleen and live in a house full of detectives, you're quick to realize it's a bad idea.
Though… Tim knew, logically, if he truly wanted to, he could get away with it for at least a good while.

Tim has been feeling this dragging weight pulling down on him, as if the earth itself sent orders to drag him down. The worst part? He doesn't remember when he started feeling this way, but he is sure it isn't new.

“As best we can.” Crystal responds. “I’ve practically had to work through the whole thing. Thank god for our neighbours, they checked up on Steph for me while I was stuck at work.”
Dick frowns but nods. “I’m glad she didn’t get stuck completely alone. I imagine finding a babysitter wasn’t very possible with the shelter in place orders.”
“Uhg, don’t get me started.” Crystal responds, pinching the bridge of her nose. “If I could I would have just brought her with me to work but I work at a high risk building...”
He winces in sympathy. “Are you off today?”
“Finally.” Crystal groans. “Figured I’d give Steph a chance to get out of the house. Is that why you’re here?”
“Knida,” Dick makes a so-so gesture with his hand. “My girlfriend works here. Her tires got punctured on the way in so we’re picking her up then going to her apartment. She's just upstairs.”
