    Damian was wearing scrubs. They were restrictive enough to limit his range of motion, yet baggy enough to get in the way of what he was doing all the time. The fabric was warm, too warm for April, so it stuck to his body in awkward places. But the worst part by far was the stupid surgical cap he had to have on all of the time.

    After Bruce had reluctantly allowed him to keep volunteering—even if he had forged his signature to make it happen—he started showing up more often, maybe too often.

    Or: After volunteering at the hospital for a couple of months Damian decides to quit vigilantism, how he’s going to tell everyone? He’s not sure. He’s not looking forward to it at all.

    Peter seems to remember who he is, his name, his losses, his responsibility as the 'friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man', but everything that led to this moment? That led to being stranded in this foreign place? Half-remembered and hastily stitched together.

    Gotham is colder than New York, the faces are unfamiliar, the skyline jagged and grim, and the heroes... strange and foreign.

    He is haunted by visions of a dour, inescapable green; his memories muddled and vague. He knows he needs to get his narrative in order, needs to remember it properly, but now Peter has garnered the unwanted attention of Gotham's idolised protectors. And try as he might, he cannot seem to shake them off.

    "I’m not giving him back until I get paid," Jason deadpans. Over the intercomm, he practically hears the judgement in Alfred's voice as he registers the situation through the many cameras they have stationed around the house.

    Grumpily, arms crossed in front of his chest and refusing to look, let alone talk to, Jason. He's practically drowning in the hoodie Jason shoved him into to warm him up. It's one of Jason's favourites too, so the shit better give it back.

    In no way does he find the pouting - because that's what it is, pouting, literal pouting - cute. Not at all.

    "You'll have to bring that up with your father, I think," Alfred says, and buzzes him in. Jason starts his motorcycle up again, having to let go of the button in order to safely secure Tim to the bike, but he still calls after for good measure.

    "Tell him I want at least 100k!"

    Tim protests immediately, despite his cold shoulder. "I am worth so much more than a hundred thousand, are you kidding - "
