In Tommy’s defense, he used the distraction on Sarah plenty when she was a tiny slip of a thing like Ellie is now. Sarah had been athletic from the time she was small, in youth soccer even at an age where some of her teammates still needed a referee to blow the whistle because a player had an accident in their tiny gym shorts. If Sarah, so quick she had to be a leash child because she was too fast not to be, couldn’t actually step up to the plate on an idle “If you catch a pigeon, I’ll let you keep it” challenge, Tommy had been pretty sure no kid could. It had just been an easy thing to set Ellie to so he could finish up fixing the goat pen without her “help.” He’d expected her to chase after the birds for a bit, get bored and frustrated, and then return, preferably right in time for them to head back to split an apple and some peanut butter before she went down for a nap.
But then the 5 year old wanders up with the smug satisfaction of a cat with a canary, an absolutely bewildered-looking pigeon held before her the same way she holds a hamburger.

No active smut but all happen before/after sex so mentions of stuff, like no sex scenes but all the mentions of them. Lots of yearning though, hope that makes up for it!
