This story starts the Christmas two years after Shane Hollander meet for the first time in Regina over Christmas, as described in my previous story "Happy Christmas, Sweetheart" – it is not strictly necessary to have read that first, but I'd advise it, or there's stuff you'll miss the significance of.
Shane was 2nd pick in the 2009 Draft, but, in a shock move, deferred in order to go to college. He's now in his second year of Theatre Studies at Université de Quebec á Montréal (UQAM). He has been asked to translate for a visiting American student, who turns out to be Rose Landry. . .

Summary
Shane Hollander is 18 years old and a beta when he first competes at World Juniors in Saskatchewan. Shane's only expectation is to bring home gold. Instead, Shane unexpectedly presents as an omega during the gold medal game against Russia. Luckily, his rival Ilya Rozanov is there to help Shane, which is a good thing because Shane knows nothing about being an omega. Rozanov kindly offers to extend his stay to help Shane through his first heat.
