Summary
Pacha never set out to be emperor. He's not a warrior, or a glory seeker. Just a humble farmer that couldn't keep his opinions to himself. Though he rose to power on the merits of his good advice and steady leadership, governing an empire is so much harder than acting as village leader.
Enter his new royal advisor, the capricious and judgemental Kuzco. Seemingly more concerned with whether Pacha wears the right tunics with his ornamental headdresses than with the governing of the country, it's no wonder Pacha isn't seeing eye to eye with the man.
But when a banquet with visiting nobles goes terribly awry, the two will be forced to rely on each other to survive. And along the way, they might just find that they have more in common than they thought.

Others will tell you that they are heroes of old, gods come down to earth. Still others will smile knowingly, tell you it is up to you to decide what you think. These people often know more than they let on.
What does it take to be a Hunter? Wits or strength are useful, of course, but Pearl knows it's not quite so simple. Every Hunter has a motivation. When will it be that she gains hers? Perhaps much, much sooner than she expects. The only thing is- she doesn't know if she'll be ready.

Vesper let out a laugh of disbelief. “I must be in a coma. Or I've gone insane. Either way, this can't be real.”

But he feels the words like an icepick in his chest all the same, and a part of him knows. This version of Dick might not be real, these words might not be real, but what he's saying is true anyway.
"Are you fucking listening to me?" says the man in the red helmet. "The big bad bat's not coming to save you." There's a crash, and when Tim turns toward it, his desk's been overturned. His laptop is lying on the floor in a tangle of cords. If any of this were actually happening, Tim might be afraid that it was broken.
