The ghost turns, a smile spreading across quite a pretty face. “Tango! It’s great to see you, thanks for the Oreos.”

You really should consider yourself lucky. You managed to get all the kids out of the collapsing mine, and you discovered the first of the stone carvings you were looking for. True, you ended up with a concussion and a lot of bruises, but it was a small price to pay. You could even say that it was worth it. Your cousin actually took a day off from work to spend time with you, and most of the town considered both of you local heroes now.
You knew that the week had just begun. There was a lot more to do, and you needed to quickly pull yourself together if you wanted to survive.
