Scott was thankful he got into L.I.F.E High School- he was, really!
It was just that the entry building was huge and he’d be a new kid in second year and the glittering, stained-glass paneled doors of the lobby seemed to be staring him down in a rather personal way, like they were annoyed they had competition for who was the sparkliest in school. Really, it was rude, for the doors to be so judgmental. He was already self-conscious enough, thanks. Scott didn’t need any help with that.
Maybe he could work on that, this year.
Or, a High School AU where I, for some inexplicable reason, decided I wanted to mash up pretty much every mcyt series I have watched/enjoyed/hyperfixated on. Now, don’t be fooled by that deceptively tame description- the slice of life you see in the beginning will only crumble as more and more eyes pile up to Watch our dear unicorn hybrid. There will be difficulties.

Summary

“Undress you?” The words left her in a whisper. “Is such a thing sacred?”
“Yes,” he breathed, and Cleo shuddered despite herself. He gripped her arm, pulling her in. “To take my silks is to possess my heart and soul, as the skins of seal-folk. You remember, of course, how the god of travel and arts stripped the god of war and sky. Make a mortal thing of me.”
Cleo has never seen her husband; the father of her children. He only visits in the dark.

“The estate? What estate? I abdicated the high seat.”
“Yes, well… like I said, these are entirely mundane legal proceedings. This has nothing to do with Mr. Le Bail or the High Council.” He hands Grace a packet of paper, waiting for her to scan over it before continuing. “Even in the absence of Mr. Le Bail’s favor, the Danforth family fortune is considerably immense, especially for a woman of your…” The Attorney trails off, eyeing Grace and Faith’s depressing poor people apartment. “Economic circumstances.”
“Wait,” Grace sputters, flipping through the paperwork. “I don’t get it. Why would I inherent the Danforth family fortune?”
“Well, you are the last remaining Danforth.” The attorney explains simply. As though it’s so simple.
