Sokka has always liked the idea of meeting a mermaid. After all, for a sailor, the only thing better than the company of a woman (besides his sister) is that of a half-fish-half-woman who loves the sea as much as he does! Of course, after the Fire Nation sinks his ship, leaving him stranded in the waters of Blood Moon Bight, he’s not too interested in mingling with the local tribe of man-eating mermaids.
His chances of winding up a midnight mer-snack for a carnivorous fish-lady? Very high. His chances of being found by a mermaid with a pickier palate who keeps him as her prisoner and only promises to free him in exchange for information about the surface world because she hates subaquatic life and wants to leave the sea altogether? Pretty low.
But not, as it turns out, zero.

The war should have ended with Sozin’s Comet. Instead, it became something else.

When her name appears on the Empire’s registry, survival is no longer enough. Pulled into a system designed to control power, and the people who carry it. Katara is forced to navigate shifting alliances, impossible choices, and a past that refuses to remain where she left it.

As tempers flare and negotiations break down after the Hundred Year’s War, the only issue the Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom can agree on is that Azula is dangerous. The fallen princess is bartered as a negotiation point and after her bending is taken, she is sent to the Southern Water Tribe as an indentured servant to help them rebuild after the war.
Fate intervenes and Azula is offered a new gift as her old life is stripped away. She sets her mind to becoming a Life Binder and Azula looks to begin a new life as the world she grew up with fades away. Becoming the Jade Sage, she finds that even with her new skills, the world is a dangerous place and her past may still come back to haunt her.
