An introduction to "A Naruto Encyclopedia: World-Building," which is a series of works and headcanons, by yours truly, dedicated to contributing to the deconstruction and restoration and explanation of the lore of the Naruto universe. This preface outlines the project's goals, my approach to canon and fanon, and the overall philosophical framework used in the deconstruction of the world's history, politics, and magic systems and power systems of the world of Naruto. This is not a fanfiction kind of story or a post (although I do make those!), but a resource for writers, readers, and thinkers. An Encyclopedia!

“For the record, I totally didn’t send this,” Jason declares, resting his fists judgmentally on his hips and wrinkling the bridge of his nose as he takes in the envelope’s exterior details. “I wouldn’t embarrass myself by printing the address for Wayne Manor in Comic Sans. And I definitely wouldn’t use whatever fresh hell that return address is printed in.”
Taking the bagged envelope in hand again, Bruce moves to the Batcomputer and pulls up the folder of fonts on the system. He glances between the envelope and the sample screen for the font he’d already suspected would be a match.
But clocking the font name gives him a great deal of pause. “Jokerman,” he finally declares in a growl through clenched teeth.
Tim, as it turns out, may not be Jack Drake’s son, but Bruce Wayne’s already got kids he picked out personally. That’s okay though, because Tim’s got a plan for how to deal with this revelation—it’s not like he needs acknowledgement from a second father that doesn’t want him, anyway.

Before Q could rationally think his actions through, he had reassembled the gun and had it loaded in a blink. It was loaded, aimed and ready to fire– even taking the few centimetres it leaned to the left in account.
“You seem to keep forgetting I am the one to have built the weapon you are here to return to TSS. Personally.”
Q lowered the gun and dismantled it just as easily as he had before, laying out the pieces on a tray and picking it up. He had to push past 006 who was still standing in the doorway, his eyes following Q as he moved to carry the tray back to the main workshop area.
“Well? What are you waiting for? I don’t have all night.” Q leaned on the workbench, peering at 006 sharply.
A look of amusement broke through 006’s otherwise stern facade. “Marry me.”
Pausing, Q blinked. “Did you just… Did you just proposition to your superior officer?”
006 nodded, grinning brightly.
“Drop your mission gear onto the workbench and get out of my Branch.” Q ordered, “Before I change my mind and shoot you.”
