Their reunion does not go well, given that Izuku is still recovering from nearly dying at the hands of his mentor's murderer. And the fact that his mentor was murdered.

For as long as Izuku can remember, he spent the first twelve years fearing All for One. As long as he proves his use and does as he is told, he will live another day. After years of abuse, lies, and manipulation, Izuku escaped.
