It's a hallucination, like all the rest. Objectively, Tim understands that.
But he feels the words like an icepick in his chest all the same, and a part of him knows. This version of Dick might not be real, these words might not be real, but what he's saying is true anyway.
"Are you fucking listening to me?" says the man in the red helmet. "The big bad bat's not coming to save you." There's a crash, and when Tim turns toward it, his desk's been overturned. His laptop is lying on the floor in a tangle of cords. If any of this were actually happening, Tim might be afraid that it was broken.

Essek came to the shelter simply hoping to be able to breathe again. He doesn't dream at being healed or reintroduced to society as if nothing happened. He just wants to be able to get through a whole day without worrying about a panic attack or nightmares plaguing his sleep, without recoiling from closeness and feigning arrogance instead of being open.
He can't even begin to imagine what must be going through Bren's mind, coming here for the third time in the last ten years. Why is he back if he's already been living on the outside for years now? Does anyone ever truly get their lives back? Or is it just people like Bren that fail to do so- people like Essek?

In an all-too prevalent mix of worries of her future, and the heavy hang of what happened between her Uncle and Mom all those years ago, Connie learns more about herself and the valley her family came from.
Sam never felt strongly accomplished in his life. He knew too much about what the real world was, but he preferred to try and just get away with what he could and suppress what he didn't know how to handle for 'later' (if he even remembered, but hey, maybe that was for the better...?) He didn't expect to make friends with his new co-worker, or to get awkwardly nervous around her, making him question if dating Penny was just another cover-up so he wouldn't have to worry about he actually felt about his own life again.

These are a series of romantic one-shots and scenarios for stories that I'm going to be doing in the future. These are just small one-shot scenarios that will ultimately be fleshed out properly and used in full stories later down the line. My co-writer is having some major issues and can't be around as often as we'd like, but I want to at least be able to get SOMETHING out, so this is sort of my compromise. This will be giving you all an idea of what future stories will look like, what future pairings will be adopting children in Project Motherhood, all that good stuff. But you can also very much take them as their own thing completely separate from anything else I've done if you so choose to.
Essentially, these are just gonna be cute, fluffy, romantic vignettes between yuri ships, MANY of which you probably won't be expecting. If you just like to read yuri with only vague idea of plot, then this story is for you.

Euijoo’s head is placed on Nicholas’s heartside, while Nicholas leans against his boyfriend’s hair. Their fingers trace each other’s sensitive skin slowly, drawing abstract images and writing unspoken words. At some point, Euijoo raises his head just a little bit.
